Abstract

Function: To record the actions of commissioners of the states of RI, NY, NH, CT, and MA in conventious durirlg- tne ·Revolutionary war. Contents: Documents related to the proceedings of several conventions of commissioners from RI, NY, NH, CT, and MA. Conventions were held during the Revolutionary War and dealt primarily with the issues of using state troops to prosecute the war, the depreciation of currency, the need to control wages and prices, and the need to strictly control trade. Included are the appointments of the commissioners from the various states, minutes of convention sessions, resolutions of the convention and the various states, re~orts to the Continental Congress. These documents were put into a volume by the state archivist. Many of the documents from other states. Probably kept by the Secretary of State.
