Scope and Contents

These records consist of photographic documentation of bridge construction projects. Photos are taken periodically from various angles, including aerial views, in order to document the progress of the construction project. There are thirty-two (32) photo albums in this accession documenting multiple bridges throughout the State of Rhode Island. Additional photographs of the New London Avenue Bridge No 424; Moons Cut Railroad Bridge No. 25; and Mashapaug Bridge No. 455 were transferred by the Department of Transportation to the State Archives on August 29, 2012. These photographs were added to the boxes containing the photo albums for their respective bridges. All photographs were taken by Pineapple Studios, Providence, RI between 1999-2003 for the Department of Transportation.

Custodial History

All photographs were taken by Pineapple Studios, Providence, RI between 1999-2003 for the Department of Transportation. Photographs were transferred to the State Archives by Michael A. Hébert, Supervising Historic Preservation Specialist/Archaeologist for the Department of Transportation on August 23, 2012.

Accruals

Additional photographs of the New London Avenue Bridge No 424; Moons Cut Railroad Bridge No. 25; and Mashapaug Bridge No. 455 were transferred by Mike Hebert to the State Archives on August 29, 2012. No further accruals are anticipated at this time.
