Biographical / Historical

Joseph Peleg Burlingame (1858-1941) — also known as Joseph P. Burlingame — of Warwick, Kent County, R.I. Born in Rhode Island, January 22, 1858. Republican. Jeweler; Speaker of the Rhode Island State House of Representatives, 1903-06; delegate to Republican National Convention from Rhode Island, 1928 (alternate), 1932. Died in Lakewood, Warwick, Kent County, R.I., December 31, 1941 (age 83 years, 343 days).
