These records consist of black-and-white 4" x 5" negatives of the Mount Hope Bridge (RIDOT Bridge #300) which connects the Rhode Island towns of Portsmouth and Bristol and is part of Route 114. The photographs primarily document the building of the bridge from 1928-1930.

This series contains photographs, newspaper clippings and scrapbooks created by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. The include photographs documenting the hurricane that struck Rhode Island in 1938 and the blizzard that struck Rhode Island in 1978. The images show the effects of these storms on various municipalities throughout the state. In addition, there are photographs showing the various Transportation projects throughout the state.
